Being a flight attendant means I get to wake up in a different city, sometimes with only a few hours to explore it. Over the years, I’ve gotten pretty good at finding the places that are actually worth leaving the hotel for — the cozy coffee shop around the corner, the restaurant I’d go back to on my next trip, the hidden gem I’m so glad I stumbled across, or the activity that made a quick layover feel like a real adventure.

The Layover List is where I keep all of those finds in one place. It’s my personal travel notebook turned website, filled with the restaurants, coffee shops, things to do, and little discoveries I’ve made along the way — plus the places I’m saving for my next trip.

Hi, I’m the flight attendant behind The Layover List! I’ve always loved exploring new places, but being a flight attendant has given me a pretty unique way to do it. Between flights, I’m usually looking for a good local restaurant, a cute coffee shop, something fun to do, or a hidden gem that makes a short layover feel a little more special. I started The Layover List as a way to keep track of the places I’ve loved, the spots my fellow crew members have recommended, and all the places I’m hoping to check out someday. Think of it as my personal collection of “I only have 24 hours here — where should I go?” recommendations.
